HONDA RUCKUS Chinese Clone MOTOR SCOOTER: 2009 105 miles - Arlington in Arlington, VA

$500 HONDA RUCKUS Chinese Clone MOTOR SCOOTER: 2009 105 miles -

2009 CHINESE COPY OF HONDA RUCKUS
I have both a Honda Ruckus and a Honda Big Ruckus. I decided to buy one of each of the cheap Chinese copies, just to play with. Now I'm selling both clones.
The Big Ruckus clone is also listed. Check it out. It has the camo paint scheme.
This bike, made by Shanghai Honling, costs a fraction of what the real Ruckus costs. Both are 50cc and, in Virginia where I live, require no license, plates, taxes, inspection, insurance, etc.
You must be 16 to operate it on the street and you must carry some form of ID.
Two photos show this bike, which is yellow and black, along with the genuine Honda Ruckus, for comparison.
The bike is slow, particularly on a hill, but could be sped up with lighter roller weights.
When I bought it from that big scooter seller in California who goes by about 20 names, it arrived with numerous defects, such as pinched wires, misrouted cables, and other bad engineering and quality control. Based on my experience with this and the other clone, I'd say the Chinese scooters are FAR behind the Japanese products -- but the motors are good.
The major design flaw to a Chinese scooter is that they have a weak vacuum fuel pump vs. an electric fuel pump on the Japanese bikes (or gravity feed on a motorcycle). Thus, when you park the bike for a week, the carb will evaporate and you have to crank it a LONG time to fill the bowl before it will start. While it does have a kick starter, you do not want to try to kick it enough to fill the carb, and you cannot push start a scooter. IF the bike has been run recently it will start quickly and never misses a beat when you are riding.
You can buy this scooter today new, in 5 colors, delivered for $927, but if your experience is like mine, you will have a lot of work to do to finish building it. For lots of photos and some more details (some of which are lies or exaggerations), search for model "MC_JL4C" or "MC_JM50". I can be truthful with you because I don't care if you buy it or not, just so SOMEONE buys it.
No title is required for a Moped in Virginia, but I bought one anyway, so you will get a proper title. This may be valuable if you sell the bike in another State where mopeds are titled.
The bike is located in North Arlington, near Virginia Hospital Center. I will be happy to demonstrate it, tell you everything I know about it, and let you compare it to my superior Honda Ruckus. If you want serious transportation in a moped, buy a Ruckus for $2500 new or $1500 used, otherwise you can get some of the same bare-bones cool looks for a fraction of the price with this Honling.
Everything works on this bike. It has only 105 miles. I replaced the battery 8/11 and will give you the receipt. Naturally you will get 2 sets of keys to the bike and the trunk, and the owners manual.
You cannot test ride it, sorry. There is no insurance and it is not worth the risk to my finances to offer a test ride. You'll just have to watch me ride it.
The price is firm and payment will be with currency (folding money). I have no interest in checks, money orders, Paypal, etc. You will get my Virginia title, but I will not date it or enter your name, in case you want to re-sell the scooter later. However, you must tell me who you are since we will each get a copy of the Bill of Sale.
Please contact me by e-mail. If I do not get back to you immediately it will be because I am out of town for the holidays but I will call or write as soon as possible. Be assured that I DO WANT YOUR MONEY!
I am a motorcycle enthusiast and I have operated a website for vintage Marusho and Lilac motorcycles since 1997. If you do a search on these names you will find me. I am not a dealer. Thanks for looking.
Be sure to check out my other scooter, since it is very unique with its camouflage paint and costs 1/4 as much as a genuine used 2005 Honda Big Ruckus. I'll be listing it a few hours after this one.
