Communications Marketing Associate in Arlington, VA

Marketing Associate will be responsible for completing RFPsRFIsDDQs, including the writing and maintenance of compelling and well-written responses, while successfully managing time-sensitive processes in collaboration with colleagues. The ideal candidate will review and edit pieces produced across the organization e.g., research papers, as well as draft new copy for client communications, the website, and collateral materials. Responsibilities Assume lead responsibility for all facets of completing Requests for Proposals RFPs and the like. Assume lead responsibility for drafting new communication and collateral material copy. Serve as copy editor for new firm-wide materials written elsewhere in the organization e.g., research pieces, market commentary. Maintain an organized library of accurate, compelling, and well-written narrative, serving as the primary source of narrative for RFPs and collateral materials. This will include developing a process by which functional areas across the firm review, update, and sign-off on standard narrative, thus ensuring the ongoing integrity of the details over time. Explore external applications to assist in RFP management and production e.g., Qvidian, ProposalSoftware As part of the broader marketing team, collaborate seamlessly in all aspects of deliverables, including serving as a backup to fellow teammates. Broad team tasks include the following o Develop, produce and update all marketing materials, including standard and custom presentations, research Fiduciary Insights and Strategic Perspectives, DDQs, fact sheets, and Business Updates. o Respond to RFPsRFIsQuestionnaires. o Coordinate and manage electronic and hardcopy mailings. o Contribute to event and conference planning needs. o Maintain external databases. o Maintain r internal relationship management system Satuit CRM. o Contribute to branding, digital, and social media efforts. Requirements Undergraduate degree required marketing, finance, journalism, or English disciplines preferred CFA preferred Min 3-5yrs work background in the investment industry preferred, ideally focused on RFPs and communications, and a broad base of investment knowledge Min two years background coordinating and managing large projects Advanced skills in Microsoft office suite products i.e., Microsoft word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Ms excel. Outstanding written and spoken communication abilities, with an expertise to understand complex material and explain technical concepts clearly, concisely, and logically -Excellent proofreading and editing skills Good analytical abilities Basic skills in graphics software InDesign is advantageous Proficiency in databasecontact managementRFP software Demonstrated efficient organizational, prioritization, and time-organizational skills Self-motivated to work unaided, while managing multiple tasks with aggressive deadlines from start to finish, including effective and collegial collaboration across the firm Expertise to take direction and receive constructive feedback from others High integrity and a willingness to work within a compliance-sensitive environment.
